Project Manager, Madison CT

Job Summary:

​

We are looking to hire a new Project Manager to oversee the pre-con and build phases of our projects. You will be working with our team to ensure that all decisions made with clients in the design phase are carried through to completion. You will be working in our downtown Madison, CT office and will need a car to visit local job sites.

​

Communication:

- Project Manager establishes client contact as point person to communicate with client throughout construction phase

- Projects that have completed design and pre-construction phase will be handed over to PM to manage through Construction

 - PM to be involved in pre-construction process as necessary to ensure smooth handoff from design to construction

- Clarify any unspecified details with Owner/Designer – review plans at start of project and continue to reference throughout

- Communicate with Creative Director throughout projects to track any changes to scope of project, field installation coordination, design intent etc.

- Upload documents to One Drive and Company Cam as received

- Meet with clients weekly – Onsite or remote depending on client preference and availability

- Meet with construction lead onsite weekly to review schedule, quality, upcoming order confirmations, decision items and other items needed to communicate to client and Design team

- Request Owner or Project Designer at client or onsite meetings as needed to review changes or clarifications

Budget:

- Review cost estimate with project designer at start of project to confirm selections, assumptions, and material selections

- Create schedule of values to track estimate to invoices at start of project

- Ongoing budget tracking – reconcile invoices to schedule of values monthly, flag overages to Design team as needed, communicate budget progress to client

- Track budget impact of client change orders to best of ability during process

- Document extra add on items/projects that effect budget and schedule

- Communicate with accounting office for non-billable items

Schedule:

- Build Construction Schedule

- Lead Carpenter to work with PM on timelines

- Develop subcontractor work schedule

- Send plans and communicate scope of work and schedule to all subs

- Rework schedule as needed to make up for delays etc.

- Track construction schedule and place orders for materials to ensure they arrive as needed to remain on track – communicate delays to schedule with client as needed

- Communicate to client any additional time required due to requested change orders during construction phase

Procurement/Quality:

- Design details such as tile, plumbing locations are directed by Designer

- Order design materials from pre-con selections -i.e. interior doors, flooring type and stain, plumbing fixtures, tiles, mirrors, lighting etc. with Project Designer approval

- Budget overages and long lead times should be flagged and reviewed internally with Designer in charge of project before any final orders are placed

- Communicate overages with clients as needed and facilitate alternates with Project designer as needed

- Work with subcontractors on detailed items such as light switches and plumbing layout

- Schedule walk-through for electrical, plumbing etc. as needed with related subs and clients

- Take weekly photos of all work completed and stored onsite

- Review quality of work – in coordination with Lead Carpenter flag any re-work or corrections needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

​

Cabinet Installer, Madison CT

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Installer with 10 years of experience and a strong understanding of installing custom cabinetry for kitchens, built-ins and vanities. Knowledge and leadership in residential carpentry preferred. You will be working for our construction company 'Gulick & Co.' alongside our custom cabinetry brand 'Saltwood Cabinetry' to install cabinets including crown molding, baseboard and window trim on each job. You must must have your own tools and be strong enough to handle heavy lifting.

The company is located in Madison and we work along the Shoreline, east of New Haven and up to Middletown.

Job Type: Full-time​

​

Typical Working Hours: 7:30-4:30​

​

Schedule: 8 hour shift

​

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

​​

Carpenter, Madison CT

Job Summary

 We're looking for an experienced Carpenter with knowledge and leadership in residential carpentry. The company is located in Madison and we work along the Shoreline, east of New Haven and up to Middletown.

​

Applicant must have:
- At least 5 years working in the field
- Have a set of basic carpentry tools
- A hard worker and great attitude
- Must be able to work as a team
- Drivers License and Transportation

​

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Wages will be determined on experience and skill level
